Why Airplanes Don’t Fall

 Why Airplanes Don’t Fall

Airplanes stay in the sky thanks to a beautiful balance of physics, not magic. As an aircraft moves forward, air flows faster over the curved top of its wings than underneath them. This difference in air speed creates lower pressure above the wing and higher pressure below it, producing an upward force called lift. At the same time, the wings push air downward, and by Newton’s third law, the air pushes the plane upward in return.
